MacBook Pro (2008) and Windows Vista Update

If you have been reading this blog recently you will know that I have removed Mac OS X from my 2008 MacBook Pro and installed just Vista x64. I just thought that I would do a quick update as to why I have done it.

Firstly over the last week or two I have mainly just put my laptop to sleep and for the first time in a long time with Windows I have felt like it will actually wake up again. Second thing is that I have also bought Office 2007 Ultimate from the MS Student offers website which i just amazing and there is nothing on the Mac that even comes close to that for OS X.

Although battery life under Vista seems to have suffered, at best it seems to be around two hours and at worst it is down to about fifty minutes. But I don’t really care about that as I always have it plugged in when I am at work. So it’s not all bad.
